Cookie
Policy
Cookies, analytics, external content and your consent choices on PEK Civil Defence.
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on pek-defence.com, why they are used and how you can manage your choices.
A cookie is a small file stored in your browser by a website or third-party service. Cookie rules may also apply to similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage and online identifiers where information is stored on or accessed from your device.
1) How your choice works
Necessary technologies are always active because they are required for core operation, security or remembering your choice. Analytics and marketing/external content are disabled by default and activated only after your explicit consent.
On the first layer you can equally choose Accept all, Reject all or Settings. Consent remains valid for a maximum of 180 days, or until a relevant change to settings/purposes requires a renewed choice. You can change your selection at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer.
2) Necessary technologies
| Name / technology | Type | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
pcd_cookie_consent | first-party cookie | PeK Automotive / pek-defence.com | 180 days | Stores your category choices and the time of consent/rejection. |
pcd_cookie_consent_v3 | localStorage | PeK Automotive / pek-defence.com | maximum 180 days (validity enforced by the website) | Stores the same choice in the browser so preferences can be reliably applied across pages. |
offensiveUnlocked | sessionStorage | PeK Automotive / pek-defence.com | until the tab/session is closed | On the protected Offensive page, remembers that access was unlocked during the current session. |
| Cloudflare Turnstile token | security token | Cloudflare | short-lived; intended for a single verification | Protects forms against bots and automated abuse. |
cf_clearance (only if Cloudflare pre-clearance/challenge is enabled) | security cookie | Cloudflare | according to Cloudflare Challenge Passage configuration | Proof of a successful security challenge. A normal Turnstile widget does not require this cookie by default. |
3) Analytics technologies – Google Analytics 4
| Name | Provider | Default duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics / Google Ireland Limited | 2 years | Distinguishes users using a pseudonymous identifier. |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics / Google Ireland Limited | 2 years | Persists session state for a particular GA4 measurement configuration. |
We use Google Analytics to understand website usage statistically and improve the site. Analytics cookies are not required to use the website. Google may process usage, device/browser and approximate location information. An IP address may be used for technical/geolocation processing; the exact scope depends on the current Google Analytics configuration.
4) External/marketing content – YouTube
After consent, videos are loaded through youtube-nocookie.com. Even in privacy-enhanced mode, Google/YouTube may process the IP address, device/browser data, video interactions and, depending on account state, may set or use additional identifiers or browser storage after the player is activated. Google may change the names and retention of these technologies.
| Example after activation | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
YSC / similar session identifiers | YouTube / Google | session or provider-defined | Player operation, security and measurement of video interaction. |
VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE / similar identifiers | YouTube / Google | provider-defined | Technical optimisation and operation of video content; may also support measurement. |
| YouTube localStorage / IndexedDB entries | YouTube / Google | session or persistent, depending on entry | Player preferences, device information and video functionality. |
5) Marketing tags (Google Ads / Meta Pixel)
The consent manager is technically prepared for a separate marketing category. No active Google Ads or Meta Pixel tag was found in the reviewed static package. If such a tag is enabled, it must load only after marketing consent and this Policy must be updated with the actual cookies and purposes before or at activation.
6) Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Turnstile only to secure forms. In this website version its script is loaded only once a user starts interacting with a form. Turnstile may process technical and security signals from the browser and issues a one-time token that must be validated by the server. If pre-clearance or an additional challenge mechanism is enabled in the Cloudflare account, cf_clearance may also be used.
7) Local fonts
The website is prepared to host Montserrat locally, so displaying the font does not require a direct Google Fonts request. This avoids an unnecessary connection to Google servers purely for typography.
8) Managing and withdrawing consent
- select Cookie Settings in the footer;
- enable or disable Analytics and external/marketing content;
- save your choice; withdrawal applies to future processing;
- on withdrawal, the website attempts to remove known first-party GA/marketing cookies and reloads the page to stop non-essential scripts that may already have loaded.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. If you delete website storage or use another browser/device, you may need to provide your choice again.
9) International transfers
Google and Cloudflare are international providers. When their services are activated, processing may occur outside the EEA, including in the United States. Transfers rely on applicable GDPR mechanisms such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified organisations and/or Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
10) Contact and changes
For questions about cookies and privacy: legal@pekauto.com. We update this Policy when the technologies we use or their purposes change.
